How to find out everything about your travel destination?

Do you plan your trips in advance or are you completely spontaneous?

I do quite a lot of research and planning before I go on a trip. It wasn’t always like this though. There were places I travelled to without doing too much research, and although I enjoyed myself, I kind of regretted not being more prepared.
